After 106 days of uptime I turned off my machine to install wireless card to make it work as an access point.

Since the change required me to turn off the system, I decided also to change PC to newer one which I got from neighbour.

The server should be faster now, previously it was 366MHz, currently is 1.2GHz.

The only thing that didn't went well was installing the wireless card. It turned out that the PC has broken internal ethernet card, so I needed to install two nics. The motherboard only have two PCI slots so there was no space to connect the WiFi :(((

Oh well, I guess I'll reuse the old PC as an Access Point.. Maybe it's not bad, finally I'll have other FreeBSD that I could mess with without worrying that services that I'm providing would be interrupted...

System was successfuly upgraded to FreeBSD 5.4. The whole process took only 30 minutes.

After 107 days 4 hours 47 minutes and 18 seconds of uptime I decided to upgrade from FreeBSD 4.10 to FreeBSD 5.3.

All primary services such as mail, dns, http are seems to working correctly. It took me whole day to finish it, currently I'm installing less important programs. I'll also plan to recompile system with optymalization, to gain some additional speed. So there will be additional reboot.

Today my server reaches magic number of 100 days uptime, too bad that most likely I'll reboot it next week to migrate into FreeBSD 5.3 :)

FreeBSD 5.3 has been released two days ago. I'll be migrating to it on some free weekend.
